I think it works for both

Vivian for a boy, Vivien for a girl. For a boy, probably only usable as a mn; lovely for a girl in any position. I don't enjoy Vivienne in English: there is a perfectly acceptable English version and Vivienne doesn't get pronounced the French way anyway.

It's very beautiful for girl also it's fine for boy but I didn't see for boy.

Since the first Vivan I ever knew was a guy, will always see that as the masculine version. Vivienne would be nice on a girl.
