I don't much like Corin. Karen, pronounced KAHrin like my Danish aunt, is excellent; pronounced KArin or CAREin, I don't enjoy it at all.
I love Corin because it sounds fresh. I do not like Karen. Other than it sounding "old", I am not entirely sure why I don't like it. It might be the mixture of sounds in question that I do not like, because I also do not like Sharon or Carol. However, I do like Maren and Carrie. The stereotype has nothing to do with my feelings towards it.
i've always loved Karen. It's a sweet name and most of the Karens I've known were really good people.
I dislike Corin, it reminds me of Corwin Auto Sales (a local used car dealership with a bad rep) I do like Corrine, though.
