Sylvie vs Elodie
Major concerns:
Sylvie might be too dated for French-speaking countries, and too 'nickname-ish' for English-speaking countries
Elodie might sounds like an unfinished version of Melody, and might be too rare that ppl will mispronounce it often (the accent and the "e" sound)Sylvie looks nicer and Elodie sounds nicer to me;
Sylvie's spelling remind me of silver with a glimpse of elegance, while Elodie's sound is melodious but not too sweet like '-ia' names

I love both names but Elodie wins out in my eyes. Elodie just has a certain youthful charm and charisma to it in my opinion. Innocent but also playfulness.

I like Élodie more. Sylvie is pretty though.

If we're just talking French, then I'd go with Sylvie. The English pronunciation of Elodie is my favorite. That's when I would chose it over Sylvie.

Elodie is pretty, and in some ways I like what my accent turns it into: the much kitschier (and clunkier) "Ella-Dee". Ella Dee is pretty cute but it has none of the fancy French charm of Elodie.
If I had to choose between these two "concerns" I'd pick the name that I knew people would butcher less often, so, Sylvie. I really don't think having a dated name is that much of an issue anyway. It topped the charts in France in the 60s, but how much time would the kid be spending in France? It's the equivalent of meeting a baby named Lisa in North America nowadays - not really that big a deal.

Elodie, but both are beautiful.

I prefer Sylvie. Elodie sounds a bit too indistinct when I pronounce it.

They're both wonderful names, but I would definitely prefer the name Sylvia over Sylvie and Elodie.

I like them both but I would go for Sylvie, simply because people are more likely to get the pronunciation right for that than for Elodie.

Like them both, Sylvie not too nicknamey to me. I don't see Elodie as a problem with pronounciation. I think Elodie sounds and looks nicer
