Jolene
Wdyt of Jolene and what is a good name for a sibling? I think it's sweet although outdated. I think of brother Kurt and sister Jenna.

I used to find Jolene boring and strangely southern, but I like it more now. It sounds like the peaceful countryside or something.Brother: Morgan or Alfred
Sister: Morgana or Ulyssa

I like Jolene, but I definitely prefer the name Jenna (which you suggested as a sister name) to Jolene. A good brother name for Jolene is Curtis; a good sister name for Jolene is Rhonda.

Jolene is cute, I would say more for a middle name if she lives in the south, possibly first name in the north.Kurt works for a brother. Sister maybe Corinne, Mabel, Lilyanne, Hazel, something from the same era.

It's a lovely name by itself and I think on the right person it's gorgeous. I can see potential with the nickname Joly (Jo-lee). However personally, it's got too much negative association for me between the Dolly Parton song (which my grandma - bless her heart- used to blast full volume and then launch into a bunch of sob stories about how her sister always stole the boys she wanted to date when they were younger so that image stayed stuck in my head) combined with a girl I went to high school with who was Regina level mean girl.

Your grandma must have been wonderful. Great memory!

Actually, she and I had a very complicated relationship. It was messy, and she was very narcissistic.

Jolene, Jolene, jOlEne, JOLEEENNNEEE 🎶Will always have the Dolly connotation, but I still do really like Jolene. Kurt fits. I don't think Jenna's the best fit for a sister. Maybe Anna or Agnes.

It’s an ok name in itself but too Dolly Parton.

Love it

My only context for it is that song, which puts me right off. Apart from that, it seems to have been invented to feminise Jo-. Fine, if that solves a problem for anyone; it doesn't work for me.

Don't like it at all, another J sibling isn't good
