I quite like it, especially as a nickname for James. Similar vibes to Robin (as a nickname for Robert?)

It's really boring and almost just a sound to me.

The first that I think of is the Ninjago character; I’m not complaining, as that used to be a favorite show. I think that Jay is a cool name, but I don’t enjoy potential confusions with (the letter) “J”. I much prefer the name Jayla on a girl, opposed to Jay on a boy.

Nickname for James, perhaps, or any other J- name; not as a full name.
