I like Meredith. It has an old-fashioned books, tweed, and old wood feel. If Evelyn wasn't so dashedly trendy, I'd put it in a similar category.
I am not fond of Hilary, which I associate with the late 80s - early 90s. Meredith & Vivien
Meredith & Winifred
Meredith & Adelaide
Meredith & Genevieve Other possible sisters of Meredith: Dorothea, Frances, Theodora, Wilhelmina, Harriet, Evangeline, Agnes, Josephine

I think that these names compliment each other very well.

They seem to be the same vintage. In full, they're fine, and not too long. But nns are problematic: I knew a Hilary who was called Lallie, and a Meredith who was called Merry, and I thought both were unfortunate.

What’s wrong with Merry? It sounds just like Mary.

Not in my dialect. And there's nothing wrong with merriment as such, but it isn't on a par with actual virtue names - Felicity and Joy for instance; it's more of a word name.

Huh, it may not be a classic virtue name but I would put it in the same category. All virtue names are essentially word names, but I get that they have a deeper meaning for some.

I LOVE Meredith but I'm not so much a fan of Hilary.

Yeah these two suit each other. They both have a tweedy, serious sort of energy. Very earthy and intelligent

Don't like either name but they would make the perfect sibset. They both capture the same rich, WASP, country club, old money-type aesthetic.

I like Meredith but not Hilary, don't like them as a sib set

I don’t particularly like either name, they’re sort of man-ish names for girls and kinda dated. They make a good sister set though.
