Blair
What do you think of Blair for a girl?
I don't like it, but I could like it on the right person.
Hmm. Your ideas are intriguing to me, and I wish to subscribe to your newsletter.

I love it but prefer it on a boy, spelled like Blaire.
Bleeeeeh. One of the most unattractive names I can think of.
I like it, and while I've met a male Blair, I definitely associate it being more feminine. I particularly like the combo, Blair Ivy.
I think it's ugly on a girl. It's not great on a boy either but I can at least understand why someone might use it on a boy considering names like Blaise and Blaine. It sounds like it belongs with Craig, Dwayne, Greg, etc. even though I don't associate it with that same generation.
I've only ever known one; there were 2 brothers at my elementary school called James (Jamie) and Blair. I thought it was a weird and awkward name at the time and still do.

I prefer it for a girl, honestly. It seems odd on a boy, my friend has a nephew with the name.
Blair - as a feminine name (I know it started out masculine, but it's so similar to Claire that I have trouble picturing it on men) - is one of those names where I love the idea of it so much more than the reality. For instance, if you were ever a Gossip Girl fan, the character of Blair Waldorf was named exceptionally well. Blair just... sounds like an Old Money NYC socialite! It oozes sophistication (if that's something that can be "oozed").
However, Blair also sounds like sirens and alarms blaring.

I knew a girl who went by this (her middle name.) I actually didn’t like her at all but it’s wasn’t enough to stop me from liking this name. I do agree that it would be good on the right person.
One of my little cousins was named this (not little anymore, but in my mind she's perpetually seven). She had the most beautiful soft blue eyes and almost silvery brown hair, and a very ethereal sort of presence, gentle and thoughtful. I think that helped me see Blair in a favourable way.
I can definitely see how Blair sort of has Sloane energy - it's more like a blurted sound than anything. Maybe Blair is a bit nicer in an accent that would soften the final r.
Ironically my cousin Blair married someone who was also named Blair.

Yeah, that sounds like a Blair.
He-Blair and She-Blair? How do they cope?
That, I don't know! I'm not close to them, but I do wonder.... Maybe they have nicknames for each other??
Couples often use the same nickname for each other. "Where are you, Love?" "I'm in the attic, Love!" But, to say the least, it's not ideal.
Don't like it
Find it to be a harsh and unpleasent thing.
Don't like it as a girl but It's okay for boy.
It sounds so unfriendly and empty to me.
Im a fan but surprided its not more common now.
