How would you feel if your favorite character had the same name as you?
I'm going to feel a little weird. The reason is that when I talk about that character, I feel like I'm constantly introducing myself.

When I was growing up, two of my favorite books were Mandy by Julie Andrews and the Mandie series. I loved it as it made me feel more apart of the plot. For me it's a happy coincidence but it also depends on what genre as well. There are certain genres where it gets weird but 95% of the time, it doesn't bug me. Again, considering my name is one of the more common names around, it's not hard.
I have only found my name twice in characters. One of them was an annoying teenager who was a secondary character, while the other one was the main character of the story. I found it weird both times, because I felt like they were talking about me all the time. In the second case it wasn't that bad because it was not the same spelling. When I watched that book's movie it was even stranger. I don't usually have this problem when talking to people with the same name as me, though.
I'd feel weird too, but I'd give a laugh about it and be happy because of this coincidence.
Unmoved. I don't have any difficulty talking to people with the same name as me, and I don't think a character would be any more difficult.

I cant read the story, I find it too weird. I've only found one story that I've wanted to read with my name though, so it's not bad in that I haven't lost out on to many interesting stories. I don't remember the name just that it was one of those webcomics on webtoon where the main protagonist is killed and the reborn as a princess or a villain.
