Kimberly vs Lauren
I know someone whose name was Kimberly when she was born but adopted as an infant and her name changed to Lauren. Which name is better?

Where I live, there is a town named Kimberley. Kimberly always looks like a spelling mistake to me, but then, so does Beverly. Kimberly is unattractive to me and inconveniently long, and I dislike trite Kim. So that would leave Lauren; I would use Laura, personally.

I prefer Lauren, but both are nice

I guess Lauren is better, but both names are devoid of personality for me.

I've know many Laurens and all of them have been the same brand of tall, brown-haired shy girl for some odd reason. I remember my (now) best friend and I talked about it in 2010 when we both met yet another Lauren in our lives. However, before that point, my best friend and I hadn't known each other. Yet, there we were having a conversation about how all Laurens have looked and behaved the same in our lives I've often wondered how universal our local brand of Laurens have beenMeanwhile I've only known one Kimberly I think because of that, Lauren seems like quite the boring name in comparison - a bit over used and bland. It's nice, don't get me wrong, but I do prefer Kimberly. However, I think I'd use Lauren over Kimberly in real life. It'd be a middle name use, though

That is what this Lauren looks like, maybe Lauren was meant to be! Any color hair, the Laurens I have known have been shy.

Lauren is better, but I don't hate Kimberly, if only for Kim. Kim is accessible and friendly, and cool. I have always liked it.Lauren is prettier, though, and a bit more grown-up than Kimberly.
