Fern
This name has really been growing on me lately. What do you think of it?
It would sound weird with a 1 syllable surname ending in N, right?

I LOVE the name Fern, it’s a favourite of mine. I remember liking it as a kid too.
I think Fern is so cute!
I'm really not a bit keen on Fern as an independent plant name in its own right. But, I had a colleague once named Fernanda who was known as Fern, and I found that really pleasant. It could also solve your N-ending problem!
Aw, I love Fern! My friend’s cousin named her baby Fern Elodie a few months ago, which seems on trend.
Don't really like it, I think it might not work with the surname
I knew a Fern Brown once, long ago! Thanks for reminding me. She was a medical student.
I like it but I’m not sure if I would actually use it.
I like it. Its simple, charming grace feels quite natural. When I think about it, Fern is a pastel-lavender sky painted with scarlet vines that reach into golden clouds. I don't really get your point about the surname... it should flow reasonably well with its surname, but there's no reason not to use it, if only for that reason.
