wdyto Truly
Is it too reminiscent of 'Chitty Chitty Bang Bang'? I think it's a beautiful name, but I know virtue names can be problematic on real people...

It sounds nice, but I find it silly. Trudy is far better.ETA: I think Truly could work as a nickname for Gertrude.

It's blatantly ungrammatical. True would be better, and Verity better still.

Not familiar with it, but it just makes me think of truly as in “yours truly.”

It just reminds me of the seltzer.
I'm not AGAINST the idea of an adverb as a name, but I don't think Truly works well. Verity is more interesting.

It’s so cute! I’m imagining a toddler named Truly spinning around in a fluffy tutu :D It would also be a cute mn.I don’t think many people would think of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, even if they’ve watched it they aren’t likely to remember the characters name.

I've never seen that movie, so I have no associations with Truly as a name. True was a GP for years and I still like it, so I like Truly in theory! It's like Trudy and Julie smushed together, with a nice meaning. I'm not sure if I'd like it on a real person, but hypothetically I'm into Truly.

Don't like it at all

I think it's really cute :D It does remind me of the white claw type drink because my mom always has a BUNCH of those in the fridge. But not enough to bother me. I think it would be a bit twee the first time I met someone named it, and I would quit worrying about it pretty quick. It seems pretty namey.
