Hedra/Nedra/Tedra
What do you think of these American oddities? I've encountered Hedra only in Single White Female, where it's the pseudonym of the villain played by Jennifer Jason Leigh, and I've heard of a few women named Nedra and Tedra. I think Tedra is my favorite, followed by Hedra and Nedra.
Some combos, just for fun:
Tedra Chloe
Tedra Mercy
Tedra Sophie
Tedra Nadine
Tedra Phoebe
Tedra Lucile
Hedra Vivien
Hedra Lucille
Hedra Margot
Hedra Mabel
Hedra Zoe
Hedra Pearl
Nedra Lillian
Nedra Dorcas
Nedra Vashti
Nedra Xanthe
Nedra Cecile
Nedra Lois

Don't care for any of them. Tedra and Nedra sound unattractive. With so many names to choose from I would wonder why someone chose one of these. Hedra sounds like the name of a robot or computer in a sci-fi movie. I prefer the look of Hedera and wish it had the same pronunciation.
Don't like any
Tedra is new for me! I like that it might possibly mean "chair", that's so charmingly random. Tedra as an affectionate nickname for Theodora also makes me happy.
I remember looking up Hedra when I first saw SWF! I think it had an interesting meaning like "October" or something, which I thought was great. Hedra is so deliciously sinister and glamorous, Hedra Vivien is perfect.
Nedra is adorably dorky. I love the idea of a Nedra called Ned or Neddy.

I like Hedra. I don't like Tedra and Nedra as much seeing them together because it looks like they're just Ted and Ned with a suffix. Sedra would also be cool. Medra, Ledra, Kedra, Yedra? (I think Phaedra is supposed to rhyme with these but I tend to say it with "FAY")
In some languages Fedra is the form of Phaedra so it would follow the pattern of the other names.
I love Hedvika and that entire family of names. My favorite variant is probably Edviga.
