My first thought if I met young siblings named this would be that they were named for grandparents or great-grandparents, although Tyler and Simone still get some use here (and Tyrone sounds like those, plus Roan and Sloane). I don't care for Tyler or Tyrone particularly, but I do like Ty as a NN. I've met Marys of all ages; it's nice enough.(Like RoxStar said, I've only seen Tyrone as a black name except for Tyrone Power, but it doesn't seem like a bad name to me generally, just stereotypical in that way. I'm 34.)
