It sounds quirky-trendy to me, circa 2007...that's when the movie Juno came out...Walk the Line also had June Carter as a main character and there was a movie called Junebug in 2005...I relate it to Juniper (and maybe also August, Sage, Marigold, Luna, Pearl stylewise).
I remember my sister told me if she had a daughter, she liked the name June. That would have been 2009.
I've never met any old ones. It's likable but not something I'd pick. I'd rather January for a girl's month name maybe, and I'd also pick Augustine or Jane over June. But I'd consider Junius.
