Millicent
I’m pet sitting for a friend of a friend. I knew she had a baby last year, but didn’t know anything else about the baby. I found out that she had a girl named Millicent MarieMillie.” I like Millie. I’m not sure how I feel about Millicent. But I think the combo is nice enough. Anyway, I thought I’d share.

I don't like Millicent (I think it sounds fake, formal, and mealy) and I guess Millie is cute but sounds like the name of a small dog. Millicent Marie is too cutesy and matchy. I like Melisende. (What even is the deal with Millicent? There are so many cooler names you could have gotten from Amalaswintha. Amasintha, Malaswin, Malasintha...)

Millicent looks and sounds like a type of measurement.

I love Millie / Milly, but Millicent is too formal for me. I do know a Millicent “Millie” though, she will 10 next year.

I love Millicent, and Millicent Marie is very snappy.

Oh, love. One of my first name loves, actually! I had a picture book called "Millicent and the Wind" and I always thought it was such an amazing name.Millicent Marie works really well. Millicent is pretty busy, and the familiar Marie balances it out.
