I've loved Edith for a long time so I'm glad to see it getting some use. Edie is a spunky nickname.

Edith is also a very big favorite of mine; I just love how classy and uncommon it is now. It reminds me of a beautiful meadow of flowers, where animals live happily. I love this name in combos like Edith Alora, Edith Anna, Edith Flora, Edith Roxanne, and Edith Jayla. Another thing, I find the nickname Edie adorable and endearing!

It's a favorite. When I was pregnant I suggested naming our daughter Edith. My husband said it would be a "statement." I'm not sure what he meant, but I got the impression he thought it would stand out a lot. That was 2005-6. I don't think it'd stand out all that much today. I think if people are naming daughters Hazel and Penelope, there is certainly room for Edith, which is a lot nicer than either of those imo.

It's my daughter's middle name, so I obviously like it a lot. It has real elegance. We are not English-speakers so we pronounce it with eh sound rather than ee.

Edith is great, especially with the nn Edie. I’ve grown so fond of this name over the years. Mostly I’d say because of the late Nurse Edith Cavell. Apparently she was somehow connected to my maternal grandmother’s family tree, or so the story goes. Lovely name, amazing woman.

Still amazed that people are resurrecting this name but not stuff like Mildred or Ethel. I don't get it! They are all on the same wavelength to me Anyway, it took me a long time to warm up to Edith, but I appreciate it now. Edie is really spunky. I really like the movie Crimson Peak and I was happy to see a heroine named Edith.
