I'm liking it more than I used to, just like how I'm liking Wilhelmina, Vivian, Lilian, Vera, Mavis, Winifred, Theresa, Arthur, Bert, Henry, Simon, Wilfred, Wilbur and Albert more nowadays.

I used to find it ugly, but now I think it’s kind of spunky and intriguing.

I like Norma. I can see Norma reading classics in an old library wearing Dark Academia inspired clothing. I also like Normina as well.

I love Norma. :)

I really like Norma and Norma Jeane because it reminds me of Marilyn Monroe even though her story is not a happy one. Would I use the name IRL, no.

Aw, I love Norma. I guess it is a little ugly, but that just makes me like it more. A long time ago I seem to recall coming up with the sibset of Norma and Leo but it had something to do with stars... Is Norma the name of a constellation? Aha, yes it is! See, that's fun. That's nice. Such a humble little name for a constellation. Cute. Also Norma has a kind of tragic or wistful glamour to it, because of the Marilyn Monroe connection. That makes it more interesting to me as well.

I don't feel like it's as much of a caricature of "boring and old" as Wilma and Norman. But it's similar to those, obviously. It reminds me of jeans.
Norma Jean, Gloria Jean, Billie Jean, Wanda Jean. It's not as ordinary/old/harmless seeming as Nora, maybe to its detriment. I think of Nora vs Norma as like Willa vs Wilma. But neither is it as fun as Zelma.

Not a name I love due to association (my husband’s cousin) but not ugly. The actress Lesley Ann Warren played a character called Norma in the 1982 film Victor/Victoria. I always loved her portrayal of the character and I think it softened my feelings towards the name as whilst I don’t love it I also don’t hate it.

I don't think it's ugly, but it's not attractive either. I don't like No- and I don't like -rma. I can sorta imagine liking it though, in another time. It's like a 1930s version of groovy modern gal. Like Robin but for her mother's generation. Like, maybe Layla more lately, or Noa (f). Guess I don't need to mention that it sounds too much like normal, to be appealing in the present day.

Sorry, Norma is one name that I have never liked and most likely never will. Not even the character Norma on Twin Peaks can make me like the name. I already don't care for Nora, but that M works overtime in making it sound just... miserable. I have a similar response to Edna and Thelma.RoxStar actually mirrored many of my thoughts about Norma.

Yeah, I think it's ugly. It's an overweight, sweaty-smelling woman with hair that looks like a very bad wig, horrible dry-looking makeup and too many cigarettes.
It's very, very popular in Oklahoma where I grew up, for old women. Especially Norma Jean.
Here in Delaware and nearby areas of Maryland, the go-to old-lady name is Margaret Ann, slurred so it sounds like Margurdan.

I like the name Norma. It just sounds good to me, and it reminds of the singer Norma Tanega. Definitely a nice name in my opinion. However, I could see someone named Norma hating their name. It probably seems old fashioned nowadays, and I could see people making jokes about being "normal" or a "normie." But I still think it's a nice name.
