Gloria
Was just thinking about this name. It’s similar in sound to currently trendy -ora names like Cora and Nora as well as -ia names like Olivia, Sophia and Amelia. It also peaked in the 1940s so following the 80 year rule it could be expected to rise in the near future. What do you think of Gloria?http://www.behindthename.com/pnl/87410

I like it! It's got a brassy no-nonsense glamour to it. I could see it coming back. If names like Florence are on the rise, Gloria can't be far behind.

I like Gloria a lot but couldn’t use it as it’s my grand aunts name and unsurprisingly she was born in the 1940s. My grand aunt is Gloria Virginia.

I've always thought it was a beautiful, usical, sparkly sort of name. Nora and Cora have about as much in common with it as a clunky orthopedic shoe does with a jewelled satin evening slipper; they both go on your feet and that's it. lol

It used to be extremely dated to me, but not anymore since it’s the name of my therapist who’s in her 20s.

I don't like it at all

I love Gloria! I think of a glamorous film star who's faded (but elegantly and enchantingly).
