Re: Alexandra
I'm a fan of Alexandra as well - much more than the masculine counterpart, Alexander. Probably because I've met so many Alexanders in my life, nearly all going by Alex (with a couple Xanders who are much younger, that seems to be the trendier nickname now). I've met so many people named Alex in general, though most girls called Alex had the full name Alexis in my experience. The prevalence of Alex as a nickname is the only thing that would put me off using Alexandra in real life. I'd try to push for a different nickname (since it is 4 syllables), like Xana. Not Sandra or Sandy, though.Alexandra is fun to find in the middle, as well.***Please rate my personal name lists:www.behindthename.com/pnl/69381
