Nicknames for Wistrilde
So I've recently fallen in love with the name Wistrilde (pronounced wist-RILL-duh) but I feel like it's too out there to be a whole name on its own, it needs a nickname.I can't use it as a middle name either, for the middle name I'm using Jassi, after my mother. What do you think?

Wow, amazing name.I think typical nicknames like Willa and Tilda sort of cheapen the whole thing, but they would work.
I'd rather preserve the uniqueness and use a nickname like Trilda or Tril. Or Trida (like Treeda, rhyme Frida)
I think Willo(w) is a far stretch, though, not only because of the mixed-in O, but because Willow is a fashionable, frequent name.
It's sort of like naming a child Madelberta and calling her Mia.
If you want to call a child Willo(w), why not use Willo(w)? Willo Jassi is cool. Wistrilde Jassi seems verging on fussy, by comparison (although I would not object to it).
Still - if a person goes by Willo people will just assume her name is Willo, so ... does it matter if it's a stretch? Not often, anyway.
Difficult choices!

I really like Willa, do you think Willo would be too much of a stretch?

It’s a bit of a stretch I think, as there’s no ‘o’ sound in Wistrilde. But it could work, I guess.
