This is not a girls' name and I have never heard it used for girls, and I have never heard it pronounced any way other than SEER-il.
Don't like it. It's very dated and stereotypically British-upper-class, and it sounds too much like cereal.Before you criticize a man, walk a mile in his shoes. That way, when you criticize him, you're a mile away and you have his shoes!
