I've never heard SIE-reel and if I did, I think I'd laugh out loud. I mean, unless the person was introducing himself, then I guess I'd suppress it. But it just seems so wrong to me.

I like Kirill, and Cyrus, but not Cyril so much. Just not the sounds I like for a guy name. It's like it's melting. SEERL.
Cyril does remind me a little bit of Sibyl and Cecilia, so I could probably get used to it as a gal's name!
But I think I'd much rather Cyra than Cyril (f).
