I see Augustine as more of a unisex, leaning towards a male, name, and that's probably all about the ending 'e' letter since if it was an 'a', as in Augustina, it changes the gender for me, making it solely a feminine name.

Augusta! I recently rediscovered this name and I really like it. But nicknames is a good point, I’m not sure… Auggie or Gussie or Gusta, I guess?

I wouldn't choose Augustine for a boy, let alone a girl! Augusta would be the only possible choice, but it wouldn't be mine.

Augusta because Augustine is masculine and Augusta is a family name anyway, diminutives could be Gus or ysAugie.

Augusta, definitely. Augustine is very masculine to me because I think of the saint.
