Carline
Any thoughts on Carline?

It's okay, but I prefer Carlin.
I know someone named Carlin who went to a French school for a while and they basically pronounced it Carline anyway.

I agree with NelleR that it looks like a misspelling of Caroline, which is already a name I don't like much.
I think Carmine is nicer, especially say in a fantasy or science fiction setting. Or with parents who are chemists or geologists haha.
Otherwise there's also Charline / Charleen, Carmen, Carolina (as either Caro-LINE-uh or Caro-LEE-na)

not that spelling, for sure ...
It's too close to "car line" like streetcar line.
Carleen or Carlene might work, though it has a dated feeling and is most well-known as a sort of "country-western" type name because of the singer Carlene Carter and the country song by ... Phil Vassar? called "Carlene."
I like Carly best, and Carla and even Carlotta.
