Dottie
What do you think about Dottie as a name for a child, or as a name for a grandmother/great grandmother? Not as a nickname.

Don't like it at all
Never really cared for it, reminds me of polka dots or being “dotty.”
One of my favorite first cousins was always called Dottie, though she was Dorothy on her birth certificate. Because of her I love Dottie as a pet form -- but I do think it is better to use Dorothy as the official name and just use Dottie as a nickname. Depending on the child's personalities and interests, Dorothy as the official name gives more options for the future.
Unattractive as a formal or nickname on a human of any age. Suited as an uncreative name for a Dalmatian at best.
