Missy Wdyt?
Missy — I would never like it until I spoke to one today. It was sweet. She was about 40.

Unfortunately it sounds like an insult: "Hey missy, you listen now.."
It’s ok as a nickname for Melissa or something, horrible on its own.
Rather distasteful, I think. Perhaps I'm just hearing 'Lawdy, Miz Scarlett' in my head.
Don't like it, ok as a nn
I don't like it as a full name that sounds like "missing" or "miss" for me but it's okay for nn for Melissa.

I like it, but can understand why others might not.
My old neighbors once had a Scottish terrier named Missy. She was an unpleasant dog to be around.
It's really dumb. Very childish, and not even like a name even if it's short for Melissa or something. It's what a girl gets called when she's in trouble, like Buster. "Don't you throw that ball in the house, Buster!" "Watch how you talk to me, Missy!"
