I love Orla myself -- I tend to like most names that include the "or" sound.Since this is primarily an Irish name, it would make sense to give a character with it an Irish surname. So something like MacAuley, Kennedy, Sullivan, Begley, O'Boyle, Cahill, MacCarthy, Clooney, Devlin, O'Donnell, Finnegan, Gallagher, Heffernan, Kilgallen, Lohan, O'Malley, Molloy, MacNamara, Phelan, Quinn, Rafferty, Riordan, Ryan, Shaughnessy, O'Shea, Sugrue, Teague, O'Toole, etc. would be good as a surname for a character named Orla.

I honestly don’t like it because it makes me think of “oral”.

I like it, it's one of my nieces's middle names. But I think it sounds too mature to use for a baby. It's pretty, but it sounds like a name for an adult, or at the youngest an older teenager who is very serious/responsible.
