I LOVE Jamie. It's so sweet, handsome, medieval-ish and yet casual. I would totally name a boy Jamie, but I'm weary if it's good enough as a stand alone so I often default to legal name James. I like James a lot to, but I love Jamie. But not on a girl imo.

I strongly dislike James and I think that Jamie is great as a standalone name (just like Alec, Kit, Harry, Jack ...I love this "cluster").
Obviously as I'm Italian it would not be my first choice but as MN, why not?
