I'm of the Tyler generation. In my kindergarten class, I think we had 3, maybe even 4, boys named Tyler.
I think it was a flash in the pan that has overstayed its welcome and will likely read as very dated in the next decade or two.
I've also known people of multiple genders with the name - Tyler is exceptionally not pretty as a girl's name, to my mind. In an interesting coincidence, I actually knew a girl named Tyler who dated a guy named Tyler for a long time. Akin to a Taylor + Taylor relationship.
