As a given name, Katie is insubstantial. I find it absurd that it was so popular as a given name for so long.

I didn't used to like it, but I can see the charm now. It's cute. I prefer it to Katy or Kate, despite both being less infantile. But I would choose Kitty over all of them.

It's been so ubiquitous for so long that, in a Katie-mad world, I don't know why anyone would buy sleeping tablets. Just lying down and thinking about Katie would put me to sleep in five seconds.

It's okay, but is so very overused just now, as is Kate, far prefer the full name.

I hate it. It makes me picture a little girl with fat pink cheeks and buck teeth, giggling at nothing and usually talking in squeals when she isn't whining.
