I really love the name Marisol, it's one I've looked at and admired before. I'm a huge fan of Mar- and Mer- names for some reason, and the -sol ending adds something very elegant to me. The meaning is very eloquent as well, particularly the resemblance to mar y sol ("sea and sun"). It's a Spanish name, but I think the sounds present give it a broader appeal.
I don't typically reply to message boards, but this name is a favorite of mine and I just had to weigh in!
