Thoughts on Celeste
I'm 35 weeks pregnant and we finally picked the name of our baby girl. She will be named Celeste.
What are your thoughts on this name?
We have already a daughter named Rosalie. What do you think of the sibset Rosalie and Celeste?
Note: I live in Belgium and it is more often written as Céleste, so we're considering the accent. We don't give middle names.° We are but older children dear, who fret to find our bedtime near ° Lewis Carroll

I once knew a Celeste who found her name offensively sweet and cute; she never used it, and always asked people to call her Sally. I don't mind Celeste, but in an English-speaking environment, she did. I don't know if it is used in Belgium and if so, how popular it might be and what people might think of it. You will know that; it would be interesting if you could tell us.

Here in Belgium, Celeste is considered as a classic name with vintage vibes. Due to the rise of vintage names, Celeste is also growing in popularity. (39 girls born in 2011, 112 in 2021.) Sally is not so common here.(6 girls in 2014. After that, there were no little Sally's born anymore.)

I think Celeste is absolutely beautiful. I think it's wildly underused, though that makes it all the more special.Celeste and Rosalie is a nice pairing.
