In an English-speaking setting, yikes.

Fizzy....coincidence... I just read a book set in Appalachia ca. 1900, that had a male character named Culla. I wonder if there is any connection between that and Cola.

In an English-speaking context, completely silly

It’s an old fashioned Italian nickname for Nicola (boy’s name). It’s terrible in English.

It does remind me how there was a character named Soda Pop in "The Outsiders" but this character was the brother of the protagonist named Pony Boy... so take that for what it's worth lol

I have a friend who called me Soda Pop because I’m from Minnesota😝

As a full name: child abuse. As a nickname for Nicola: unconvincing, but might amuse a room full of 8-year-olds for a few minutes.

This, exactly. I don't even like Nicola, but it's certainly better than Cola.

Like coca-cola?

It’s slang for ‘butt’ in Spanish, so no thanks!

I dislike it. I don't like Cole, Colette, or Colin either.Nicola and Koda are ok.
