My step-mother-in-law! Both family names, and it was her turn to get them: her own daughter was, predictably, Jean. MIL couldn't stand her names and always answered only to Bunty. Which I thought was a whole lot worse, but she didn't and that's what counted. The youngest Edith I've ever known was an early-1950s baby and didn't turn out well at all: in and out of rehab. Which is odd, because in spite of that I think of Edith as extremely respectable and polite, like a minor character in Little Women who nobody actually liked but couldn't object to!
