I like it, though usually would prefer Damien or Eamon. The drawback for me is that it seems commonly used for macho/bad-boy type characters in pop culture (I think mainly of Damon Salvatore, Daemon the Rogue Prince, Daemon Blackfyre)...I don't think that ruins it objectively (I could probably also say it is associated with strong and witty characters); it just stands out to me personally, especially since I know people do associate the word daemon/demon, plus the meaning.
