The only Sylvia I've met was an older lady who owned a quilt shop in Minnesota. I agree it's got a classic type of elegance but think it's more laid-back or softer seeming than most names in the same category. I think it has a keen/intellectual/intuitive/mature quality kind of like Marjorie and Sabina do to me. And Sylvie has a bit of a folksy vibe to me considering "Bring Me A Little Water, Silvy" is a famous folk song...plus I associate forests.
