It’s so beautiful, and has a wonderful meaning.
I love this name, especially pronounced “Dann-ih-kuh;” I wish that I didn’t feel bad (for liking it), since this isn’t the original pronunciation.

I like it. It also has some spelling variations like Danika, Dannica or Dannika.

What Manipura said. But, I know two South African women named Danica; both pronounce it da-NEET-sa; one is English-speaking, the other Afrikaans.
It's a good name, much better than Danielle and Daniella. I much prefer Daniel for a boy, and it's a family name, so I wouldn't consider Danica, and anyway, there are pronunciation issues.

It's hard to forget it's a concentration camp. I'd like it otherwise.
I'd like to think I know my fair bit about the Second World War, especially with two nephews obsessed with the world wars, but I've never read of a concentration camp named Danica?
Ok. It's just something I happen to know (I think I actually learned it here a long time ago) that affects my perception of the name...I don't assume it's an association people are likely to have that would affect how a kid named Danica would be perceived.
