Re: Jeremy and Jeremiah
I only knew of one Jeremy in my school growing up. He was bullied (including being called Germy on occasion) and was rude himself. That was my only association for a long time, so I've never liked it. It has grown on me some in recent years but only enough that I feel lukewarm about it. My visual association with Jeremy right this minute is camouflage pants (I don't know where that's coming from, but it's an outdoorsy conservative vibe, I guess).Jeremiah I don't have a problem with. I enjoy saying it. I'd prefer it to Josiah or Nehemiah. But it gives me a 1970s church camp vibe...I have noticed myself liking Ger* / Jerry a little more lately (mainly Gerald and Germaine, though).
