Well... In Italy (Italia) as well the name Italia is used as given name ... 馃槀 It was 574掳 in 1999 and 2,112掳 in 2021. Hopefully this trend has been decreased in popularity. It's like a Frenchwoman called France or a Spanish girl named Espa帽a ... So odd! This kind of names should be used only by expats.
I agree with Missy: if you want to use your ancestors' homeland as a given name so Italia is far better than Italy.
