Names for Twin Girls
I like Reagan and Riley. My wife likes Nola and Lucy.
Wanted to hear everyone's input if they get a chance.

Reagan and Riley, imo, are awful for girls. I don't like surnames for girls, as much as I love former president Reagan. (I would rather see Reagan for boys, but alas, it's being used for girls :()
I much prefer Nola and Lucy, but I would prefer Nora and Lucy.

I like Nola and Lucy better.
I like Reagan and Lucy together!
Ditto...thats exactly what I was about to suggest
I like Nola and Lucy best, but my favorite combination is Alice and Lucy.
Reagan is a surname to me (I prefer Regan) and Riley is also a surname as well as unisex.
I prefer more classic/traditional names to ln-as-fn.

Though I love Lucy, Nola is a bit questionable, IMO. I would never use the latter mentioned. Reagan and Riley, I like! I've liked Masculine girls names for the longest time, but everyone here is really opposed to them (I mean really). So you'll probably not get too many people sympathizing with your cause on this site! Reagan and Riley are great, though, I say. :D

Reagan and Riley are definitely better than Nola and Lucy.
I do prefer Reagen and Riley spelled Reilly for boys though.

I have to agree with your wife.
Reagan and Riley are too cutesy, matchy twin names. I'm a Jen; my twin sis is Jess. We've hated that as long as I can remember.
Also, given the popularity and ambiguity of both Reagan and Riley, neither is a name I particularly like on its own anyway. Nola and Lucy are both adorable but classic enough to age gracefully. They're beautiful names that compliment each other without competing for attention. Neither Reagan nor Riley is memorable, but Nola and Lucy make a great impression together or on their own.
Good luck to you and your wife with your decision.

Of your two pairs, my vote goes for
Nola and Lucy, no question there. I think Lucy is very sweet and Nola is alright, though a bit lacking. I don't like Reagan and Riley generally, and I particularly don't care for them together.
If you're looking for alternatives that are still similar to the original picks, some things I like go along these lines--
Instead of...
Nola: Noor, Norah, Nina, Nona
Lucy: Lucia, Lane, Leda, Leto
Reagan or Riley: Rachel, Renata, Rowan, Rosa, Romaine, Robin, Ramona
The abolition of religion as the illusory happiness of the people is the demand for their real happiness.
To call on them to give up their illusions about their condition is to call on them to give up a condition that requires illusions.

Ditto to all of that, well said.
I have to say, I prefer your wifes choices. I'm not so hot on Riley and Reagan individually but as twins they seem way to cutesy trendy. How about combining them?
Nola Riley
Lucy/Lucille Reagan

i like your choices much better.
Sorry but I prefer Your wifes favorites, her taste in names is more like mine
Reagan and Riley are a bit too surnamey sounding for my tastes and I prefer them as boys names.
Surnamey or boys names for girls are very very trendy at the moment, and its a trend I have grown bored with.
When a surname is a family name, example the wifes maiden name, and it is used as a middle name then its not quite so bad.
I tend to dislike cutsey twinny names and same letter names for twins is a bit cutsey.
Nola and Lucy.- two individual names feminine sweet without being cutsey, Nola isnt really my style it has a nicknamey feel about it but its nice enough, Lucy I like a lot.
still you could always combine them

Nola Riley and Lucy Reagan
I really REALLY dislike Reagan (not keen on Presidential names on boys or girls -- Kennedy, Carter, etc). Riley is cute (I prefer Rylea). Lucy is pretty. Nola is a little too old-fashioned for me. I could see Riley and Lucy as a twin set.
I love Nola & Lucy, and they are much nicer than Reagan and Riley, in my opinion. Those are masculine surnames, not very attractive for a little girl. But that's just my opinion, and I love old-fashioned names, so names like Nola and Lucy definitely fit that bill.
Have you each sat down and listed names you like and had the other look at that list? Maybe you can come up with names you both agree on? Maybe something like Ava or Ella (somewhat trendy, for you, but still have an old-fashioned feel, for your wife). Good luck!
