Middle name for Ivy
We are pretty convinced Ivy is going to be the name of our girl, but we are having a lot of trouble with a middle name. My plan was always to use my family name Lee as a middle, but I’ve been told Ivy Lee is too close to Ivy League. My second option was Ivy June, because I have an Oliver James and like the J trend for middles. But now I’m wondering is it just too similar to his name? And is it too earthy/naturey? I’d love a name with some kind of meaning but I’m just out of ideas. Help!

I just think Lee is too short and curt for Ivy. Ivy June is nice and I don't think it's too similar to Oliver James.
A few ideas that incorporate Lee:
Ivy Annalee
Ivy Auralee (sort of contrived variant of Aurelie)
Ivy Rosalee
Ivy Hannahlee
Ivy Maylee
Ivy Jessalee
Ivy Leela
Ivy Leena
Ivy Leeana
And random middle names I like with Ivy:
Ivy Cassia
Ivy Cassiopeia
Ivy Cassandra
Ivy Seraphina
Ivy Sapphira
Ivy Shireen
Ivy Persephone
Ivy Penelope
Ivy Philomena
Ivy Gwendolen
Ivy Gwenaelle
Ivy Gwyneira
Ivy Galena
Ivy Morwen
Ivy Morgana
Ivy Mirabel
Ivy Minuet
Ivy Minerva

Not a fan of Ivy Lee, but Ivy June is cute. Ivy Jane is even nicer again in my opinion. Ivy Joanna / Johanna, Ivy Josephine and Ivy Jemima are also all nice options.
Thank you, we love Jane but felt Oliver James and Ivy Jane might be too similar.
I can see what you mean, but it’s only their middle names and most people don’t know or remember them anyway!
I think that Jane would be ok, I'd still go with a family name first

I don't hear Ivy League but I'm not American.
If it bothers you could you use two names?
Ivy Simone Lee
Ivy Louise Lee
Ivy Jane Lee
Ivy June Lee
Ivy Jacqueline Lee
Ivy Jessica Lee
Ivy Josephine Lee
Ivy Leanne is pretty.
Ivy Leandra
Or maybe there's another family name you're a fan of?
I would just go with Ivy Lee. It's a good name.

I think ivy Lee is ok, wouldn't worry about ivy league, it's a mn, perhaps Leeanne, Leeanna, Leeandra. Oliver James and ivy June are ok. Oliver and Ivy are quite similar. Im not that find of Ivy as a name
I'd go with family names for a middle, look at both female and male names in the family
Lots of names end in Lee or contain Lee eg Aleesha, Colleen, Kiralee, Coralee, Shaylee, Annalee, Ashlee, Kaylee, Haylee, Emilee

Thanks for the suggestions! It is reassuring that you didn’t immediately think of Ivy League. I think I’d really love to still use that option because of the family ties.
I think Ivy Lee is perfectly fine, it has a nice ring to it. How often do you use a middle name anyway?
