So do I because of the BBC Reporting Scotland weather presenter. I wish I could give her a hug and kiss.

I adore it, but it is my middle name. Everyone I have met with the first name Joy eventually ends up going by something else. Not sure why it always feels stunted. It is a pretty name. But, I do prefer Gioia / Joiya

It’s better as a middle name. First names that have only one syllable that happens to be emphasized seem odd to my ears.

I adore it, it’s so happy, short and sweet.

I like Joy a lot. It always surprised me, when J- names were at their height, that Joy didn't feature. It's got everything going for it, including not having a nn or the need for one.I wouldn't use it, because of having used Beatrice. But if Beatrice hadn't been used, Joy might well have been considered.

It reminds me of tomboy style, spring and yellow colour. And I love thinking of Joy as a middle name. However, I must admit, that it's too wordy and a tad naïve...
