WDYT of Eleanor?

It's one of my favorites right now! I would consider using this name. It sounds elegant and classy to me.
Boring and stuffy. I never liked this name. I became friends with a girl in high school who I thought might change my perspective of this name, but I ended up calling her Elle because I couldn’t stand saying Eleanor. She ended up being the type of friend who will say unkind things about you to make herself feel better, so sadly I still dislike the name.
Eleanor is lovely -- elegant & sweet. I don't think I'd use her myself because of her popularity, but still a great name! :)
I like it a lot, but this is one of those names that surprises me with its popularity. I find Eleanor very clunky, as "ugly" as Elmer and Selma and Helmer and Sheldon and all those other names most people wouldn't take a second look at. I love it for that, but I'm always surprised regular people like it too. Maybe it seems lumpier to me because my family pronounces it like "Ellen-er" (I have a great-aunt Eleanor), not the delicate "ella-nor".
I love it
Don't like it
It's regal and medieval. Nell makes a charming nickname.
