Have known one male and one female Brett, and see it as legitimately neutral, not just another bnog. That said, not a name I particularly warm to.

Bad on a boy, terrible on a girl.

Even worse on a girl than on a boy. I know an awful sibset: Storm (f) and Brett (m), and it puts me right off both names for either gender. I've also met a male Storm, but never a female Brett.

Not really a fan of it on a girl, I'd much prefer it on a boy.

I don't like it on a boy but it's ok on a girl and could work and become trendy if some celebrity uses it for a girl.

I don't like it for anyone.
