I like Hazel. I think Helena would be considered the more "beautiful" by most people, but I love Hazel's down to earth witchy energy. I love that Z in the middle.

I much prefer Hazel; I find it so adorable and classy. It’s becoming more popular recently, but still!

I far prefer Eleanor to Helena - I know they aren't the same, but the sounds are very similar. I'd prefer Helen to Hazel any day.

Hazel is nice but it's not a better name, and not more beautiful than Helena. Hazel is a more humble style. I often prefer names that are more like Hazel than like Helena, but in this case I favor Helena. I'm not sure why - probably some character in a story ruined Hazel for me, when I was so small that I don't remember anymore.
