Re: Iris
Iris Melinda OR Iris Belinda
Iris Gwyneth
Iris Eudora
Iris Vivian
Iris Elaine
Iris JeannineI dunno, I want to pair it with something sensible, because Iris is a sensible name to me, but it's also very romantic, like an Edwardian heroine, it's so shiny and light that pairing it with something romantic just makes it drift away. But something TOO sensible makes it look heavy and ugly. I want something clunky that was once considered chic and beautiful...Iris Georgette
Iris Eliza
Iris Geraldine
Iris Marilyn
Iris Matilda
Iris Athena! That's a good one because it's both romantic and no-nonsense. Oh, but that's two goddess names together, I forgot it's not just a flower name. Hmm.Iris Maude
Iris Clara
Iris Edwina
Iris Inez
Iris Octavia! Yeah!

The double goddess thing takes me off of Iris Athena too, which is unfortunate because it's really good. I'm reading a book where they're both characters and they're too unbalanced for the combo to work.Lots of nice combos, I think you really nail it with Eudora. Eudora is very chiaroscuro to me which suits Iris's double nature. But it's clearer and more resonant than Iris too, which also balacnes it.Some that come very close are Iris Elaine, Iris Marilyn, Iris Clara. I love Clara as a weird middle name. Octavia is a little too structured for me like Ariadne today.
