Ari, Laurie, Larry, Berry, and Perry
Replies
Ari is already a masculine. I've never thought of it as anything other. Laurie on the other hand, is strictly feminine to me. I wouldn't even use it as a nickname. Perhaps that's just me.
And to answer your last question: my uncle's on my material side of the family, are all named Harry, Larry, Barry, Perry "Paul", Gary, Terry (probably missing a few) because grandmother apparently loved the rhyming scheme after Harry Jr was born. So, yes. Yes, I have met a Larry, Barry (Although not quite Berry) and a Perry. 😂😂
The names are alright, but definitely dated, some more so than others. (Not including Ari)

Ari is ok and a full name and nn and Laurie as a nn for Laurence is ok
Don't like Ari as a nn for a girl, Laurie is ok for a girl, but just prefer the full name Lauren, Laura and Laurel
Berry I don't like, but know a few Larry's, it's ok, and I work with a Perry, don't like full name peregrine or Percival though. I've known a few Barry's too
