Ari, Laurie, Larry, Berry, and Perry
What do you of think Ari and Laurie as masculine nicknames? What about as feminine nicknames? Also, what do you think of Larry, Berry, and Perry (masculine)? Have you met any, and if so, what were they like?

I have two cousins named Larry after my grandfather and then three more Larry's in my family tree.
Barry and Perry are both nice names. Berry seems feminine to me while Barry seems masculine.
I don't think Laurie works as a male nickname these days. Ari is stronger.

Ari is already a masculine. I've never thought of it as anything other. Laurie on the other hand, is strictly feminine to me. I wouldn't even use it as a nickname. Perhaps that's just me.
And to answer your last question: my uncle's on my material side of the family, are all named Harry, Larry, Barry, Perry "Paul", Gary, Terry (probably missing a few) because grandmother apparently loved the rhyming scheme after Harry Jr was born. So, yes. Yes, I have met a Larry, Barry (Although not quite Berry) and a Perry. 😂😂 The names are alright, but definitely dated, some more so than others. (Not including Ari)

Ari is ok and a full name and nn and Laurie as a nn for Laurence is ok
Don't like Ari as a nn for a girl, Laurie is ok for a girl, but just prefer the full name Lauren, Laura and Laurel
Berry I don't like, but know a few Larry's, it's ok, and I work with a Perry, don't like full name peregrine or Percival though. I've known a few Barry's too
