Justine is actually kind of pretty. I used to despise it, but it’s growing on me.

I like it. It would look good on paper.

I grew up knowing a Justine of unpleasant character so for a long time this name was not anything very special to me, no different than Christine. But I've noticed over the past few years that I'm starting to appreciate it a bit more. It's got a bit of a silver-violet glint to it, a bit of sparkle that I like. The Marquis de Sade novel certainly helps give it some personality.

I used to be meh on it until I met a very lovely Justine recently, and now I look upon the name more favorably, if only by association. It can be cold, haughty, and sharp but also warm, funny, and competent. I still wouldn't consider it a favorite, though.

I really enjoy Justine. It has similar vibes as Nadine to me, except it seems a little more modern. Also, it reminds me of my favorite Smashing Pumpkins song, "1979."

To my own surprise, I like it very much indeed. I dislike Justin for a boy - probably knew too many when it was so popular - and usually don't enjoy girl names ending in -ine or -een; nor am I impressed by the Lawrence Durrell books. But Justine is one of my long-lasting favourites.
