I second your thought about the font name. I think it's really beautiful, like it has some tough sound to it but it rolls really well ofy tongue and I think it has grace. Good name.
I think it’s pretty. The beginning is crisp and delicate, the ending is strong, its fancy without being frilly, it’s got a good historical provenance and a nice meaning. No super obvious nicknames are jumping out, but Crissy and Sid could maybe work. Cress makes me think of the leafy green. Not a bad association but not the best.

Was the name of a car, perhaps a Toyota model. Which rather spoils it for me. As a name, it's very pretty, but if it would shorten to Cress then I'm not keen at all. Better as a mn, perhaps?
I love Cressida. I considered it as a middle name for our daughter, but my husband vetoed it.
