I always prefer the traditional spelling, I don't like the name
It’s a word with a correct spelling, and that spelling is Winter.
You expect your kids to go to school and learn to spell words correctly, and yet their word name is spelled like a 5 year old learning how to write?
Words have correct spellings, it’s not like name-names where you can have numerous accepted spelling options both traditional and modern.
Winter is both my favourite season and favourite season name. I like the nns Winnie or Winn. I’d pair it with a soft sounding middle to balance out the strong sounds in Winter.
Winter Anneliese
Winter Emilia
Winter Evelyn
Winter Camille
Winter Caroline
Winter Vivian
Winter Alice
Winter Adele
Winter Olivia
Winter Elise
Winter Frances
Winter Estelle
Winter Giselle
Winter Sophie
Winter Maeve
Winter Emmeline
Winter Louisa
Winter Mable
Winter Charlotte

I dislike Winter, but Wynter's not as bad, it is prettier. Winter evokes dormancy, harsh conditions, and bleak landscapes ... Winter is something to endure or survive. Not an appealing name concept, in my opinion, and not any kind of counterpart to Summer. It strikes me more like Blade or Nova or Gunner, kind of a good name for a big heavy-coated dog. Even Wynter seems to me a little gothy, tough-character, or mascot-ish. Wynter seems a little more like a surname-name, though - being stylized with a Y makes it much namier, more human, brighter and less aggressive.
Winter is much better than Wynter.
Winter Estelle is lovely for a Christmas baby…though of course we don’t know when your baby is due, since you keep forgetting/changing it.

Is there btn lore that I’m just discovering? 💀
